Shape the Future of Wind Energy Research

research | EU activities

eawe is active in pursuing collaboration between its members to participate in EU projects.

eawe members are present in several international cooperations, inter alia:

The European Technology Platform for Wind Energy (TPWind) is the forum for the crystallisation of policy and technology research and development pathways for the wind energy sector, as well as an opportunity for informal collaboration among Member States including those less developed in terms of wind energy.

The EERA joint programme (JP) Wind Energy was officially launched at the SET-Plan conference in Madrid in June 2010. Aiming to provide strategic leadership for the scientific–technical medium to long term research, it supports the European Wind Initiative and Technology Roadmap’s activities on wind energy, and on basis of this, initiates, coordinates and performs the necessary scientific research.

The overall objectives of the INNWIND.EU project are the high performance innovative design of a beyond-state-of-the-art 10-20 MW offshore wind turbine and hardware demonstrators of some of the critical components. The progress beyond the state of the art is envisaged as an integrated wind turbine concept.
